Secret Door

I'm so so so so so so sorry for the lack of the posts. And I'm sorry that I always seem to be saying this. But now, this time, it's serious. More serious than all of my exams put together. I broke my darling camera. And it doesn't look like I will be getting a new one till Christmas. I will try and steal my sisters every now and again, but this means there wont be any individual pictures of letters, and maybe just one picture of them all.

I will also try and find other things to write about. Like pictures, my art, and little stories you may find interesting. I have few things in mind already, but I would love your feedback. :) I have really missed blogging, so I'm glad to be back.

I hope you are all well, and to hear from you soon. :)

Atlas Packet Thangs.

Hello my darlings. All my exams are over now! YAY. I would like to thank you all for your patience. As well as writing a bunch of letters, I have been busy making these beauties (pictured above). They are made of an old road atlas, sewn together at the edges and a label was stuck on the front. I'm going to use them for sending tea and other little goodies. :) I have made about 600million of them, so anyone I write to will probably receive one soon.

I'm sorry about the length of the post but I'm currently finishing off a few letters then I will do a another post showing you my incoming and out going mail.

I LOVE YOU ALL. xoxo

EDIT; HOLY CATS, how do I get rid of all this underlining nonsense? Help? Please? D:

30 Day Challenge- Day 03

Bonjour my little buttercups! Today's topic for the 30 day challenge is 'Your Favourite Television Programme'. I don't watch an awful lot of tv, so this isn't hard at all. It is a E4 show called Misfits.

I'm not to sure how to describe it so here is some information I stole from wikipedia about it.
'Misfits is a British live-action superhero comedy-drama about a group of young offenders forced to work in a community service programme, where they become imbued with supernatural powers after a strange electrical storm.----The programme can be classed as a teen drama, because its main characters share at least superficial commonality with those seen in Skins and several of John Hughes' films, notably The Breakfast Club----Misfits follows five teenagers on community service who get struck by lightning and are given special powers. Kelly (Lauren Socha) becomes telepathic, Curtis (Nathan Stewart Jarrett) can rewind time, Alisha (Antonia Thomas) can send people into a sexual frenzy when they touch her skin, and Simon (Iwan Rheon) can make himself invisible. Seemingly left unaffected is smart alec Nathan (Robert Sheehan), although his power is revealed in the sixth episode.'

It's a bloody good programme, so if you ever get the chance to watch it go for it! I also like Skins and the Inbetweeners. Although the last series of Skins wasn't very good in my opinion. :/

30 Day Challenge- Day 02

Hello! It's day two of the 30 day challenge and the topic is Your Favourite Movie. This is also a really tricky question so I'll just list my favourites(In no particular order).

The Hangover
(500) Day's of Summer
Amelie
Romeo& Juliet
All the Harry Potters! (I once watched all the Harry Potters out so far non-stop. It finished at something ridiculous like 5 o'clock in the morning. Needless to say, I was a zombie the next day.)
Both Narnia's.
Dodgeball
Both the Bridget Jones films.
Valkyrie
Atonement
Thunderpants (legendary film, love it.)
The Notebook
Pretty In Pink
The Breakfast Club

And that's all I can think of the moment. But I'm sure there is about 300 more. Haha.
Don't forget to tell me your favourite film! Speak to you soon!

Day 01- Your Favourite Song
I'm pretty sure they decided to start with the hardest one first. I go through phases, and there isn't one particular song that stands out for me. So I'll just say the one song that I can't stop singing. It is Dance Anthem of the 80's by Regina Spektor. It's a lovely cheerful song, from one of my favourite artists.

I love the video. It's just so fun and her, and not any fancy camera tricks or a bucket load of make up on. And of course her beautiful voice! I would do anything to sing like her.

I can't wait to read your replies!

Two Birds and An African

Today I spend all day drawing/painting/I don't know what it's called. I drew an owl for my art coursework. I painted a sheet of paper with coffee to give it that old, brown kind of look. I then quickly sketched the out line. And then after that I went of the outline and added detail with sepia calligraphy ink and a calligraphy pen. And I think it turned out alright, if I do say so myself.

It looks better in real life. I promise. :)

And also another of my bird paintings (this time I know for sure that is called a painting. :p ) has been put forward for an award at my school. Yay! The award isn't anything special, but never the less I'm still pleased.
This is mainly water colours except for the white in it's eye and the white dots on it's head. I used acrylic for them.

I'm currently on my half term holiday, so that means no school for a week! Wooo. I'll probably spend a lot of time doing art coursework, revising for the million up coming science exams and hopefully having a lot of fun with my best friends. :) But hopefully more or less everyday there will be a post. However it's not a promise. :P I'll probably not be at home during the night a lot.

I'm so excited for this holiday. School was really getting me down, everyone was annoying me. And I just had enough of exams. I had two yesterday. So you'd think it would be the worst day of my life, yeah? No. The last lesson was probably the most funniest lesson of my life. It was all just a surreal blur. My friend Ella wrote a blog post about it, you can see it here, if your in any way interested. I find it hilarious and nearly die of laughter every time I read it. In fact I have printed it out, so I can read it when ever, where ever.

Hello! I'm so so so sorry for delay in posts. Revising seems to take up most of my time. But I will try to post AT LEAST once a week. Try. I hope. :P

Outgoing:

The first picture is my letter to Nicola made from an old French children's book. And the rest are three postcards to America, The Netherlands and Finland.

Incoming:
I love everyone of these post cards! Architecture always inspires me, the two vintage flower postcards are just so beautiful! And the design on the last one is just so cool. I really recieved some great things in the mail this week. One of which is another fabulous letter from Nicola.

I love how she wrote my name on the envelope with lots of 'a's'. It really made me smile.

I hope you are all doing well. And once again I apologise for the serious lack of posts.

Post!

Hello my darlings! I hope you are all well. And as promised here is my incoming and out going mail. I think the volcano is still effecting the post, as I didn't get as many postcrossing postcards as I normally do. Oh well.

OUTGOING:

The two bottom pictures are the front and back of my letter to Nicola, so sent me to most wonderful letter!

INCOMING:
Postcards from Hungary, The Netherlands, England & Germany.
And the picture below is a great first letter from Nicola. It's the only letter I got this week, so it gets to be in a picture all by it's self. Haha. I really loved the envelope. :)

I don't feel like working.

Unknown ^

I have one exam left this week. It's tomorrow and I haven't revised one bit. Do I care? No. Not at all. I give up. I feel like I'm constantly stressed about school work, so I decided I needed a break. It's only a mock so it doesn't mean that much. I usually hate failing, but right now I don't give a flying f**k.

I would also like to apologise for the lack of posts. I spend all my time blankly staring at revision guides wishing I was somewhere else. But tomorrow I will post a happy mail related blog. Promise.

Oh and I'm also going to London on Monday! So hopefully I should have lots and lots of pictures to share with you. :)

Revision is bad for the soul.

Hello! I don't think I'll be able to to post as often as I would like. I have nine exams in the coming weeks. Yes you read correctly, NINE. One exam stress me out enough as it is, with nine I think I may just go on a murdering spree. So if you don't hear from me ever again, I'm in prison. But if by some miracle I actually stay sane and no one is harmed, I will try and post incoming and out going mail. Here is a picture of the books I have to revise from, it's ridiculous.

I have sent out a reply to Jennifer, but forgot to photograph it. :/ Hopefully I wont forget again. I have recently had a few people email me about becoming pen-pals, and I'm so excited! I can't wait to meet more wonderful people and of course receive more mail! The volcano erupting is still messing up my post! I haven't gotten ANY postcards from postcrossing in over a week. Which is crazy, I usually have at least three a week.

Well that's enough complaining for one day. I hope you are all doing well and have a lovely day whatever you are doing. :)

Oh Hello Chickens.

Hello! This weekend has been quite boring and full of coursework, boo. On Sunday I was supposed to go to the Mayday festival, but due to the non-stop rain it was cancelled. But instead my family and I went to get our chickens from a little farm deep in the countryside. But amazingly it only took us ten minutes to get there in the car! That's the crazy thing about living in Ipswich your never far away from a field. Here is a picture of the two chooks:

The white one is called Nancy & the brown one (my favourite) is called Norah. But we may have to change it's name as my mum's aunt is called Norah and she may not appreciate a chicken being named after her. Haha.

I have also finished my final piece for art.Halle-freaking-lujah. 14 hours of hard work, stress and a few tears. Our task was to create a picture from everything we have in our portfolios. I had about 297483986984773286753 different design ideas, and I think I've started all over again about five times. But in the end I'm quite happy with it. It's not what I imagined but the techniques are good and I should hopefully get an acceptable grade. Hopefully.

It was really hard to get a descent picture because it is so big. I think it's a little bit bigger than A1. The picture has a mixture of real life and than well know artists work. Such as Rene Magritte, Hokusai and Louis Comfort Tiffany.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, what ever you were doing.

Chickens.

Hello! Work experience is now over. YAY! I will miss the artefacts, but I defiantly wont miss all the awkward small talk. I'm not a fan of small talk at all. If anything, it makes me more nervous. But aside from that, I received a lovely letter/package in the mail this week, from the very sweet Jennifer.

I always enjoy her letters and the book was lovely surprise!I also received some lovely postcards, but I'll show you them in my next post. :)

Yesterday night, while watching 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' I made lots and lots of little packets to hold the tea I send to my lovely pen friends. :) Here is a picture of a few of them, there is so many more( I got a bit carried away :P).

I also need you help! My family and I are getting two chickens. But we don't know what to call them. We want their names to be normal just like the rest of our pets. (George the hamster, Rita the cat, Phoebe the other cat, and all of the fish are called Steve. All 30 of them). I like Doris and Norah, but my dad is being awkward and likes 'Mega-tron'. Sometimes I swear he has the mind of an eight year old.

-Insert interesting title here-

Hello! I'm currently sitting in my room wanting nothing but to go to sleep, but knowing in doing this I won't have a decent nights sleep. So I'll just have to struggle through. The reason for this exhaustion is work experience. It seems to take all my energy. I'm working in a record office, which is delightful! I get to handle books and letters that are hundreds of years old. The oldest one I've seen so far is over 600 years old. So I am in heaven. Being surrounded with all that history is just so exciting to me. But it doesn't matter how amazing it is there, I am certainly looking forward to leaving at the end of this week. The extra two hours kill me. D: Any way enough talk here is some incoming and out going mail. :)

OUTGOING:

The first letter is to Megan from Time after Tea, it's a reply to her lovely first letter.
And the second letter is for lovely Lauren from Letters, She Wrote.

Secondly two postcards going out to Finland and China. :)

INCOMING:

The letter on the top is a lovely first letter from Megan. The Envelope was so cute! And the second was from Lauren. That was probably my favourite envelope I have ever received. Everything about it was just...Wow.

Two postcards from Germany, isn't the first one just so gorgeous?
