Two Birds and An African

Today I spend all day drawing/painting/I don't know what it's called. I drew an owl for my art coursework. I painted a sheet of paper with coffee to give it that old, brown kind of look. I then quickly sketched the out line. And then after that I went of the outline and added detail with sepia calligraphy ink and a calligraphy pen. And I think it turned out alright, if I do say so myself.

It looks better in real life. I promise. :)

And also another of my bird paintings (this time I know for sure that is called a painting. :p ) has been put forward for an award at my school. Yay! The award isn't anything special, but never the less I'm still pleased.
This is mainly water colours except for the white in it's eye and the white dots on it's head. I used acrylic for them.

I'm currently on my half term holiday, so that means no school for a week! Wooo. I'll probably spend a lot of time doing art coursework, revising for the million up coming science exams and hopefully having a lot of fun with my best friends. :) But hopefully more or less everyday there will be a post. However it's not a promise. :P I'll probably not be at home during the night a lot.

I'm so excited for this holiday. School was really getting me down, everyone was annoying me. And I just had enough of exams. I had two yesterday. So you'd think it would be the worst day of my life, yeah? No. The last lesson was probably the most funniest lesson of my life. It was all just a surreal blur. My friend Ella wrote a blog post about it, you can see it here, if your in any way interested. I find it hilarious and nearly die of laughter every time I read it. In fact I have printed it out, so I can read it when ever, where ever.

Chemistry, shemistry.

Instead of revising for a big exam tomorrow. I have decided to spend my evening listening to these two songs on repeat. Enjoy!

Serious Lack Of Posts

Hello! I'm so so so sorry for delay in posts. Revising seems to take up most of my time. But I will try to post AT LEAST once a week. Try. I hope. :P

Outgoing:

The first picture is my letter to Nicola made from an old French children's book. And the rest are three postcards to America, The Netherlands and Finland.

Incoming:
I love everyone of these post cards! Architecture always inspires me, the two vintage flower postcards are just so beautiful! And the design on the last one is just so cool. I really recieved some great things in the mail this week. One of which is another fabulous letter from Nicola.

I love how she wrote my name on the envelope with lots of 'a's'. It really made me smile.

I hope you are all doing well. And once again I apologise for the serious lack of posts.

Post!

Hello my darlings! I hope you are all well. And as promised here is my incoming and out going mail. I think the volcano is still effecting the post, as I didn't get as many postcrossing postcards as I normally do. Oh well.

OUTGOING:

The two bottom pictures are the front and back of my letter to Nicola, so sent me to most wonderful letter!

INCOMING:
Postcards from Hungary, The Netherlands, England & Germany.
And the picture below is a great first letter from Nicola. It's the only letter I got this week, so it gets to be in a picture all by it's self. Haha. I really loved the envelope. :)

I don't feel like working.

Unknown ^

I have one exam left this week. It's tomorrow and I haven't revised one bit. Do I care? No. Not at all. I give up. I feel like I'm constantly stressed about school work, so I decided I needed a break. It's only a mock so it doesn't mean that much. I usually hate failing, but right now I don't give a flying f**k.

I would also like to apologise for the lack of posts. I spend all my time blankly staring at revision guides wishing I was somewhere else. But tomorrow I will post a happy mail related blog. Promise.

Oh and I'm also going to London on Monday! So hopefully I should have lots and lots of pictures to share with you. :)

Revision is bad for the soul.

Hello! I don't think I'll be able to to post as often as I would like. I have nine exams in the coming weeks. Yes you read correctly, NINE. One exam stress me out enough as it is, with nine I think I may just go on a murdering spree. So if you don't hear from me ever again, I'm in prison. But if by some miracle I actually stay sane and no one is harmed, I will try and post incoming and out going mail. Here is a picture of the books I have to revise from, it's ridiculous.

I have sent out a reply to Jennifer, but forgot to photograph it. :/ Hopefully I wont forget again. I have recently had a few people email me about becoming pen-pals, and I'm so excited! I can't wait to meet more wonderful people and of course receive more mail! The volcano erupting is still messing up my post! I haven't gotten ANY postcards from postcrossing in over a week. Which is crazy, I usually have at least three a week.

Well that's enough complaining for one day. I hope you are all doing well and have a lovely day whatever you are doing. :)

Oh Hello Chickens.

Hello! This weekend has been quite boring and full of coursework, boo. On Sunday I was supposed to go to the Mayday festival, but due to the non-stop rain it was cancelled. But instead my family and I went to get our chickens from a little farm deep in the countryside. But amazingly it only took us ten minutes to get there in the car! That's the crazy thing about living in Ipswich your never far away from a field. Here is a picture of the two chooks:

The white one is called Nancy & the brown one (my favourite) is called Norah. But we may have to change it's name as my mum's aunt is called Norah and she may not appreciate a chicken being named after her. Haha.

I have also finished my final piece for art.Halle-freaking-lujah. 14 hours of hard work, stress and a few tears. Our task was to create a picture from everything we have in our portfolios. I had about 297483986984773286753 different design ideas, and I think I've started all over again about five times. But in the end I'm quite happy with it. It's not what I imagined but the techniques are good and I should hopefully get an acceptable grade. Hopefully.

It was really hard to get a descent picture because it is so big. I think it's a little bit bigger than A1. The picture has a mixture of real life and than well know artists work. Such as Rene Magritte, Hokusai and Louis Comfort Tiffany.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, what ever you were doing.
